Who is L & J of LJ Covers?
Jason Kemp – General Manager and Lead Fabricator
With over 25 years of hands-on experience in the textile fabrication industry, Jason Kemp (or Jake, as he’s often known) brings passion, precision, and deep industry knowledge to every project at LJ Covers.
Jason’s journey began back in 2000, when he commenced his apprenticeship in textile fabrication. Since then, he’s dedicated his career to mastering his craft, working on a diverse range of projects from large-scale projects requiring specialised textiles to high-performance industrial and commercial covers requiring indepth research and development.
As Lead Fabricator and co-founder of LJ Covers, Jason plays an integral role in the design and production of every custom solution that leaves the workshop. His attention to detail, innovative thinking, and commitment to quality are the driving forces behind LJ Covers’ reputation for excellence.
Beyond his day-to-day work, Jason is passionate about the future of the textile industry. He invests his time in ongoing research and development, exploring new materials, techniques, and technologies to ensure LJ Covers continues to lead the way in providing durable, high-quality textile solutions, you will also find him on the phone most days helping someone else in the industry with his expansive knowledge.

Leah Kemp – Office Manager / Director
With over 25 years of experience in customer service, Leah Kemp is the friendly and efficient backbone of LJ Covers. As Office Manager and Director, Leah brings a wealth of knowledge in business operations, customer relations, and strategic planning.
Leah’s career started in advertising and marketing, where she honed her skills in communication and brand development. Over the past decade, she has worked as a Senior Disability Employment Consultant, passionately creating opportunities for people with disabilities and working closely within Queensland Health’s mental health sector to help individuals find meaningful employment.
At LJ Covers, Leah’s diverse experience and compassionate approach ensure every client enjoys a seamless and supportive experience, from the first enquiry through to delivery and after-sales support.
Leah also oversees all advertising and social media for LJ Covers, using her marketing expertise to grow the brand and keep customers informed and engaged. Her commitment to community, inclusivity, and customer satisfaction shines through in every aspect of the business.
Leah’s focus is on building strong relationships with clients and partners, while making sure LJ Covers runs like a well-oiled machine—allowing the team to deliver exceptional, high-quality products with heart.
