Custom Tarps Cut to Your Exact Size

A standard tarp from a hardware store comes in a handful of fixed sizes, so it either falls short of the load or leaves metres of loose fabric flapping in the wind. A custom made tarp is cut to the size and shape of what it covers. We make tarps in odd dimensions, with cut-outs around fixed equipment, with access points where you need to reach inside, and in shapes that follow a trailer, a stockpile or a structure.

As an example of the size we work at, a recent Google review from a business customer describes a 15 metre by 10 metre industrial tarp we made in 16 oz ripstop canvas, with heavy-duty tie-downs.

Choosing Canvas, Poly Fabric or PVC for Your Custom Tarp

The material is the first decision on a custom tarp, and it depends on what the tarp covers, how long it stays out and whether the load underneath needs to breathe.

Canvas	Breathable, tough and easy to repair. Canvas lets moisture escape, which helps where condensation under the tarp would damage the load.	Hay and feed covers, stockpile covers, agricultural covers and any load that needs airflow.
Poly fabric	Lightweight, waterproof and UV-stabilised. A practical choice where the weight of the tarp and its cost both matter.	General purpose covering, transport, storage and event ground covers.

Fittings and Reinforcement for Custom Made Tarps

The fittings are what hold a tarp in place, so we build them into the tarp during fabrication rather than adding them afterwards. We can include:

To quote a custom tarp accurately, we need to know:

• The finished size, or the size of the load, trailer or area the tarp has to cover.
• What the tarp will be used for and how long it will stay outside.
• Your preferred material, if you have one.
• The fittings you need and where they go, including eyelet spacing.
• How many tarps you need.

Send these details through the quote form with a photo or drawing if you have one, or bring the item into the workshop so we can measure it. Turnaround depends on the size of the tarp, the fittings and the current workshop load, and we give you a lead time when we quote.
