A shed curtain is a consumable. It takes constant UV, it gets wound up and dropped thousands of times a season, and eventually it stops sealing properly. When it does, you lose climate control in the shed, and everything that depends on that follows.

We make replacement curtains at our factory in Brisbane, cut to your bay and made to work with the system already in the shed. Not a standard drop supplied with the suggestion that you make it fit.

Material specification and sourcing

Please note, we are a manufacturer, not a fabric mill. What we bring is specification judgement and supply access: knowing which construction suits the application, sourcing it from a supplier who can certify it, and manufacturing it correctly.

What determines your curtain specification

• The bay and the drop. Bays vary between sheds and between builds, and older sheds have usually been modified. We measure what is actually there rather than working from the original plans.
• The drive system. A winch, a crank, a rope and a track are four different builds at the top edge of the curtain. Tell us what is in the shed and the replacement drops into the mechanism you already have.
• How often it cycles. A curtain raised and dropped daily is specified for flex and seam strength, not only for weather. This is the single biggest difference between a curtain that lasts and one that does not.
• Light control. If the shed is run to a lighting programme, blockout is a specification requirement rather than a preference.
• Cleaning regime. If the shed is washed down between batches, the surface needs to be non absorbent and to take the chemicals used. Tell us what they are.
• Weldability. A hot air or wedge welded seam is continuous. A stitched seam puts a needle hole every few millimetres along exactly the line the curtain flexes on hardest every time it is raised and dropped. On a shed curtain that is where failure starts, so the seam method and the fabric get decided together.
• Service life expected. Tell us what you are getting out of the current curtains and we will tell you honestly whether a heavier grade will change that or whether the problem is somewhere else in the shed.

Tank liners

We fabricate tank liners to your tank, cut and welded in the workshop and fitted on site. It is work we do a lot of.

Repairs, re-covers and hardware replacement

Curtains tear, and a tear is usually worth repairing. We restitch, reweld, patch, and replace eyelets, ropes, winch fittings and hardware, including on curtains we did not make. Where the structure is sound and only the fabric has gone, a re-cover is normally the cheaper path.
